📅 Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent/ Flexi
💰 Salary: Salary range MPR (£31,650 – £43607)/UPS (£45,646 – £49,084) +SEN £2679 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive special school. Our pupils have diverse needs, including severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD) and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). We believe every child deserves the right to an enriching, engaging, and personalised education.

Henry Tyndale School is a multi-campus, ‘Outstanding’ special school in Farnborough, Hampshire, catering to children and young people aged 2 -19 with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, SLD, and PMLD. With a highly supportive and collaborative team, we provide exceptional training and professional development to ensure our staff thrive in their roles. The Role:

  • As a teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families to enhance pupil learning.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, celebrating small steps of achievement.
  • Implement communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices.
  • Adapt creative teaching methods to engage pupils with complex needs.

About You:

  • We are looking for someone with:
  • A passion for teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil receives the right amount of challenge.
  • A real commitment to working with our young people with severe and complex needs, collaborating with staff, parents, and professionals.
  • Flexibility, creativity, enthusiasm, and energy to adapt and engage all learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships across the school community.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a motivator and inspirational leader for the class team.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome).
  • Experience working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential – training provided).
