Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, fully qualified and experienced Teacher to join the Primary Behaviour Service in Hampshire on a temporary basis.
The Primary Behaviour Service is a team of dedicated practitioners with extensive experience of working in Hampshire primary schools to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. We are a referral-based service offering outreach and inreach support for primary aged children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
In this role you will have the chance to use your skills in a brand-new way, stretching your talents and supporting children that need help the most. Day to day you will advise on behaviour management strategies; model outstanding classroom practice and teach directly, as part of our in reach provision in our centre. You will be liaising with Headteacher and Senior Leader colleagues around strategies to engage children in school. You will be providing service to Basingstoke, Deane and the North Test Valley schools with opportunities to work closely with The Hive in Aldershot.
We are looking for a Teacher of the highest calibre, with specific experience in primary school education. You should be fully qualified, able to co-operate with other key professionals, willing to travel and ready to engage with parents including those who may not value education. Tenacious, understanding and good with people, you will be a natural diplomat who recognises the challenges faced by all involved and have the skills to facilitate progression. You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire (and the Isle of Wight or other local authority), and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
Please note this is a temporary role to cover the maternity leave of a colleague. It is anticipated that the role will last the academic year starting on 1 September 2025.
