Do you have a passion for language teaching and a commitment to helping international students thrive?
Itchen Sixth Form College is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled ESOL Teacher to join our vibrant International Department. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality ESOL provision to international students enrolled on a range of college-based programmes, supporting their language development and academic progress within a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will provide a strong level of pastoral care and guidance, taking on the role of personal tutor for two tutor groups and helping students settle into college life and achieve their full potential.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons at a range of levels
- Adapt materials to suit learner needs and cultural backgrounds
- Assess progress and provide supportive feedback
- Promote inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environments
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to programme development
What We’re Looking For:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS)
- A subject-specific ESOL qualification (e.g. CELTA, Cert TESOL, DELTA)
- Experience teaching ESOL
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice
Hours: Monday, Tuesday all day and Friday morning.
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (0.57 FTE) (26th August 2025 – 26th June 2026)
Salary: SP3 Currently £34,636 full time equivalent (Actual 0.57 annual salary £19,742.52 pro rata)
