We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher of IT, preferably with the ability to also teach Business Studies, who has high expectations and continuously strives for the best outcomes. This an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School. Our vision ‘We Care, We Aim High, We Learn and Achieve Together’ encapsulates the work we do every day. Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,140 students. We have been recently graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
The Business, IT and Computing Department is a well-resourced department with two dedicated Computing Suites and has benefitted from recent investment. We currently offer GCSE Computer Science at KS4, GCSE Business at KS4 and Cambridge Nationals Creative iMedia, which has proved to be a popular subject with students. We are very keen to continue to increase the uptake of Business Studies and Computing at KS4. At KS3, students have two lessons of IT a fortnight and cover topics ranging from micro:bits to cryptography. A colleague who is motivated and innovative would be the perfect addition to ‘Team Hamble’. This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs.
