Teaching Assistant Vacancy – 1 Year Fixed Term Appointment
Based in Year 3 (START DATE 1.9.2025)
Bishop's Waltham Junior School is seeking to appoint a caring, proactive and committed Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a fixed-term position for the 2025/26 academic year, primarily based in Year 3, supporting a pupil with an EHCP. The successful candidate will also work with other children and groups across the class to support learning.
The position is for Monday to Friday, 8.45am–12.55pm. There is also the optional opportunity to support our Early Bird Club on three mornings per week (7.45am–8.45am). Please note: not being available for the Early Bird Club will not affect your chances of being appointed to the Teaching Assistant post.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, the successful candidate will help to deliver tailored support, contribute to assessment and pupil progress reviews, and play an active role in the wider life of the classroom.

✅ Brings experience (desirable but not essential) of supporting pupils with SEND
