Minibus Driver and Teaching Assistant

 

Position Start Date: 3rd September 2025

Closing Date: Friday 6th June 2025

Contract/Hours: Fixed term until 31st August 2026 with the potential to be extended

Hours of Work: 7.00am-4.45pm - 2 x 30mins break - 39 weeks per year term time

Salary Details: Grace C Actual Salary: £24,750.00 - £25,789.44 before Tax and NI 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the federation. We are looking to appoint a minibus driver who will collect and return children attending our resource provisions at the beginning and end of the day, drive groups of pupils to outdoor learning activities throughout the day and support in a teaching assistant role with both outdoor and in school learning for groups and individuals.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Flexible and highly independent
  • Able to use their initiative
  • Capable of dealing with challenging situations
  • Knowledgeable of children with SEMH and ASC
  • Able to build a good rapport with children across the Primary phase from Nursery – Year 6
  • Able to work effectively with staff across the school
  • Applicants must hold a Full Drivers Licence, valid in the UK
    1. Full minibus driver training will be provided and opportunities will be offered for further professional development as part of the school’s commitment to continuing professional development.
