Teaching Assistant – 30 hours per week

39 weeks, term time only, fixed term initially, start date September 2026

Grade C: £17,467 - £18,201 Actual (£25,186 - £26,244 FTE) 


Harrow Way is an over-subscribed, vibrant and successful secondary school in Andover, Hampshire. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team of dedicated staff with the desire/ability to work with students with educational needs. This may be on a one to one basis, small group work or supporting a teacher with a whole class. This is a busy role requiring a patient manner and the ability to deal with a range of situations.


You will need to:

  • have a good standard of general education, including GCSE Maths & English.

  • be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have a warm, approachable manner 

  • be flexible and to be committed to working as part of a team as well as being committed to support students to achieve their full potential. 

  • be organised and adaptable


Previous experience in a TA or similar role would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given.
