Job Introduction
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team to provide maternity cover. Working closely with class teachers, parents, outside agencies and our Inclusion Leader (SENDCo), you will play an important role in supporting children and promoting high-quality learning for all.
We are a happy and hardworking school with high expectations for all. All staff are committed to achieving the very best for our friendly and well-behaved children, A genuine interest in children and their holistic learning is paramount and a relevant NVQ2 qualification would be desirable, although not essential.
Applicants should have the ability to:
- employ appropriate nurturing skills
- support of the development of children’s social and self-help skills
- have a passion for children’s social progress and well-being in addition to their academic success
- work closely in a team to support and learn from colleagues
- work with children either individually, in small groups to enable them to achieve their best
- have Mathematics and English GCSE grade C or equivalent
- be enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative
- be positive calm and caring and able to sensitively support children
- understand confidentiality and safeguarding
- demonstrate good communication skills and be able to clarify and explain instructions clearly

Hours of Work: 28 hours 45 minutes - 8.45 until 15.30 five days a week with 60 minutes for lunch
