Teaching Assistant 

Salary scale B - £24,027 to £24,348 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) 

(Actual pro rata salary £17,775.72 to £18,013.20) 

32 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum (term-time only) 

Fixed term initially to Easter 2026

As a Teaching Assistant at Park Community School, you will have the chance to support students individually and in small groups, joining a team of committed people enabling youngsters to achieve their dreams.  

 

Empathy with students is essential, balanced with the overall aim of student independence in both learning and life skills. Experience with secondary school aged students would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.  

 

Usual hours are 8.25am to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday (requests for flexibility will be considered).  

 

With this opportunity comes the option of pursuing an apprenticeship, fully funded and supported by the school and Hampshire County Council. Some of the options available include the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship qualification, or for graduates, a Level 6 Apprenticeship to obtain Education PGCE.
