Job Introduction
We are looking for a proactive, caring and organised individual to lead our Acorns wraparound care provision, which includes both our Breakfast and After-School Clubs.
As Wraparound Care Lead, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children aged 4 to 11 at the start and end of the school day. You will manage the day-to-day running of the club and lead a small team of staff to provide high-quality care and activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Plan and lead a wide range of age-appropriate play, creative and physical activities that support children's development and wellbeing
Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Supervise and lead a small team, ensuring consistent routines, positive behaviour, and high-quality provision
Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff
Monitor and maintain accurate records, including registers, incident forms, and first aid logs
Prepare and serve snacks as needed, ensuring good hygiene and allergy awareness
Liaise with the Headteacher and other senior staff to ensure the provision complements the ethos of the school
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children in an education, childcare or playwork setting
Is confident in leading a team and taking responsibility for provision
Demonstrates excellent safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to children’s safety and wellbeing
Is organised, flexible and creative in planning enjoyable sessions
Is paediatric first aid trained (or willing to complete training)
