Job Introduction
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Year R and KS1 Learning Support Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor.We are looking for someone with experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who can provide calm, consistent and nurturing support to help children access learning and achieve their individual targets. The role will involve supporting individual children and small groups of pupils.The successful candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable, as they will be supporting one child during the first part of the morning and a different child during the second part of the morning, before undertaking lunchtime duties until 13.15. We are seeking someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to meeting the varied needs of children.The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and dedicated to helping every child develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. They will be able to build strong relationships with children, staff and families and contribute positively to our inclusive and supportive school community.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience of working with children with SEND.
- Be flexible, patient and calm in their approach.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals.
- Deliver interventions and support programmes as directed.
- Support children in working towards targets identified within their individual learning plans.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Be willing to attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop positive relationships with children, staff and families.
