Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to cover maternity leave in Year 5, starting on 1st June and into the new academic year (initially until Easter 2027) . We are happy to consider part-time applications although continuity for the children is our main priority.
This role is based in a Year 5 class for this academic year and is likely to be in Year 5 for new academic year too We can offer you
- A lovely second half of the Summer Term, full of Sports Days and Theme Week...and no Reports to write as these will be done!
- A supportive staff, parent and governor community plus fantastic, hardworking children. The class are a really lovely bunch who are both sad and happy that their teacher is leaving to have a baby.
- Weekly PPA time with your year group and ongoing professional development.
- The chance to work in partnership with experienced colleagues.
- An exciting curriculum to teach, which is planned collaboratively. We are always eager to take on new ideas too and are proud to offer learning through initiatives such as Let’s Think in English.
- A positive school community, where teamwork is a real strength and staff wellbeing is important. We have high expectations of both children and our staff but also believe that everyone’s experience of school should be successful and memorable too!
- A very well-resourced school with extensive grounds, Forest School and excellent facilities for learning.
