Job Summary

Preston Candover CE Primary is looking to appoint a friendly and highly motivated Admin Assistant to join our office team. We are looking for a positive individual who is able to multi-task, willing to learn and develop, is highly organised and has the highest professional standards. The ideal candidate will have some previous administrative experience in an office environment but the role would also suit a candidate who is willing to learn and gain experience whilst investing in their career. We are looking for excellent written and oral communications skills and proficiency in Microsoft office programmes. As the first point of contact for parents and visitors you must be confident in delivering a high level of customer service.

We are looking for a Admin Assistant who:

  • Can use their initiative and has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Is committed to the safeguarding of our children
  • Can foster and maintain excellent working relationships 
  • Has experience using IBC and Arbor alongside other Hampshire school systems, or is committed and willing to learning
  • Will provide administrative support and work closely with the Headteacher and Admin Officer
  • Is willing to administer first aid to children and adults and to support children with medical needs alongside other staff (first aid training is preferable but can be supplied)
  • Enjoys the challenge and variety of a busy school office and has strong time management skills
  • Is familiar with GDPR and can maintain high levels of confidentiality 
  • Is confident in providing front of house reception services, as well as hospitality and welfare
