About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant at Riverside, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils’ social and academic development. Your role will be vital in helping children stay engaged, complete activities, and overcome barriers to learning. As a member of our bank staff you will get to know children across different classes, supporting on a long- or short-term basis – whichever suits you!

This role offers the chance to develop your expertise in a specialist setting and to be part of a team dedicated to making a real difference.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual who:

  • Shows empathy and understanding towards children with diverse needs
  • Is confident working independently and taking initiative within a supportive team
  • Communicates effectively with children and colleagues
  • Has a calm, patient approach to behaviour management and challenging situations
  • Is committed to professional growth and can share expertise with others

What We Offer

At Riverside, you will find:

  • A supportive and inclusive working environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and specialist training, all of which you can access as paid bank hours
  • The chance to work in a school that values your contribution and wellbeing
  • The satisfaction of making a genuine difference in the lives of children and families

If you are ready to join a passionate team on a casual basis and help our children flourish with Riverside, we would love to hear from you.

We reserve the right to close vacancies early if we receive applications that meet the criteria.  We therefore strongly advise you to submit your application as soon as possible as we may invite candidates to interview before the closing date.
