Following the promotion of our current post holder, this is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate, skilled and dedicated staff team who believe in meeting the diverse needs of our community effectively to ensure all children can showcase our vision: Excellence Every Day.

This post has school wide influence, therefore we are seeking an outstanding individual who can support the educational, social and behavioural progress of our pupils, work with families and support our staff in delivering the highest quality of education to all of our pupils. Experience of and a desire to work with children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs which may lead to challenging behaviours is essential.

We are looking for an inspirational person who is positive, calm and resilient. You will need to be proactive, show excellent leadership skills, be flexible and have the ability to work on your own initiative.  It is essential that you have strong communication skills and that you have some experience of working with children and their families.

At the heart of our school are our values. We encourage all children to be Ready, Respectful, Safe and Kind and our staff consistently model these behaviours in everything they do. Our work is underpinned by our staff values of kindness, empathy, excellence and resilience, which shape the positive, inclusive culture of our school.

Experience of working with children in Key Stage 2 is desirable.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a good sense of humour and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Be able to multi-task and use their initiative effectively
  • Treat everyone with kindness, respect and empathy
  • Have excellent coaching skills to support pupils through their lives in school
  • Work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with both adults and children
  • Demonstrate excellent, consistent behaviour management skills in-line with our behavior policy
  • Have excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Show a clear understanding of confidentiality

In return, we offer the opportunity to work within a friendly, supportive and dedicated team, alongside a comprehensive induction and training programme. This role may particularly suit a graduate considering a future career in teaching or a highly experienced support staff member with ambition for their next-step.

Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED (2023), our school is committed to raising standards, promoting positive values and ensuring every child feels safe, valued and supported to achieve their best.

If you share our vision of Excellence Every Day and are committed to helping children grow in confidence, learning and independence, we would love to hear from you.
