Job Introduction
We are looking for a friendly and reliable cleaner to add to our bank staff who is prepared to undertake cleaning duties for 2.5hrs per day after school (3pm - 5:30pm) on a casual, ad-hoc basis, as and when required to cover staff absence. We require someone who is able to work at short notice to cover staff sickness, is conscientious and prepared to work hard to maintain the current high standards of cleanliness enjoyed by the school.
Responsibilities included in the role:
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all school users by cleaning effectively to a very high standard.
- Working supportively within a team.
- Working independently.
- Being fully aware and adhering to health and safety requirements within school, e.g. undertaking risk assessments before manual handling takes place and in the usage/storage of cleaning materials.
- Communicating effectively with others.
Capabilities required:
- Ability to use initiative.
- Ability to work efficiently without constant direction.
- Flexible approach.
- Ability to recognise what is a high standard of cleanliness and to clean at that level.
