Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our friendly premises team.
We are looking for a cleaner to ensure our learning environment is kept clean, clear and maintained in accordance with COSHH and Health & safety regulations. The role will include cleaning classrooms, toilets, corridors and shared areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment to work and learn.
The post will be for 15 hours a week from November 2024 (afternoons and mornings daily). There will be a requirement to work in both term-time and one week equivalent in school holiday periods when hours will be ‘blocked’ together to meet the deep cleaning requirements of the school.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Carry out a range of defined cleaning duties within a specific area to a high
standard and in line with agreed procedures
• Respond to adhoc requests for cleaning specific areas
• Follow all school policies
• Practise health & safety policies applicable to this role
• Be able to meet the physical demands of the job
• Carry out risk assessments when moving furniture
• Treat all school matters as confidential.
• Support the values and ethos of the school where everyone is valued
