Exam Invigilators

Job Introduction

Examination invigilators - Gosport

We are seeking to recruit Exam Invigilators to support in the running of external examinations at our school during the summer examination series

Invigilators play a vital role in the running and administration of exams in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Guidelines. Our Invigilators provide a supportive environment to allow all students to perform to the best of their abilities. The post would be ideally suited to applicants who are able to work flexible daytime hours and are able to invigilate on a 1:1 or small group basis with our pupils. Whilst not essential, we welcome applicants who would feel confident to undertake the role of a reader or scribe for eligible pupils. Full training will be provided to all successful applicants.

The Key Education Centres provide alternative provisions for pupils aged 11—16 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Our provisions pride on being abreast of current pedagogy and our work around attachment-focused and trauma informed practice is a fundamental part of our work in engaging pupils in learning experiences beyond those of the traditional curriculum alongside providing them with the skills needed to succeed in life beyond The Key and in modern Britain.

As an exam invigilator you will work within a team to ensure that each exam is run in accordance with the formal guidelines, whilst ensuring that our pupils experience their exams in a calm environment.

Applicants will need to be available for the following dates. Some negotiation may be available for sessions marked with an asterisk:

Tuesday 12th May – PM session*

Thursday 14th May – AM session

Thursday 21st May – AM session

Wednesday 3rd June – AM session

Friday 5th June – AM session

Monday 8th June – AM session*

The position is for casual hours, term time only during the GCSE examination series Monday to Friday
