37 Hours Per Week Term Time only + 1 week (40 weeks)
8am to 4pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8am to 3.30pm (Friday)
HCC Grade D - Actual £24,371.64 - £26,814 (FTE £27,780- £30,564)
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and committed individual, to support the delivery of our SEND intervention programme.
This unique role would suit a Teaching Assistant who already holds the HLTA qualification and would like to specialize and progress our vision to drive up the core skills of Literacy at Key Stage 3 alongside emotional wellbeing interventions. You may feel ready to take ownership of classes yourself, and be committed to helping pupils secure the key skills of Literacy so they are able to gain full access to the curriculum on offer.
This role would also suit an individual who is keen to pursue a career in teaching. Secure Literacy skills for all pupils and teachers, across the curriculum, are essential. Focusing on your literacy skills, whilst enhancing your portfolio of experience within a vibrant and forward-thinking school, could give you the edge when you feel ready to make your application for a teacher training post.

The successful candidate will:
- HLTA qualified, as a minimum requirement
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Understand the statutory frameworks relating to teaching
- Experience in working with children with a range of special educational needs.
Responsibilities will include:
Deliver a literacy programme to Years 7, 8, & 9, supporting GCSE English content in years 10 and 11.
- Facilitate and supervise pupils whilst accessing our SEN space and its resources.
- Support and deliver interventions in our SEN space.
