This will be a demanding job, especially at first, as you get used to the school, the children, the systems and the curriculum. But we know that the rewards will be huge.

 How you will be supported to succeed:

● Clear systems - know what your week will look like

● Clear communication - know what’s happening and what’s coming up

● Clear support - coaching and mentoring will be used to enable you to thrive

 Essential qualification:

● At least GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 in English and Maths.

● HLTA status, a teaching qualification, degree-level qualification, or a willingness to work towards HLTA status

The core tasks and duties of the role will include:

● Teaching whole classes across the Federation during the planned absence of a teacher.

● Taking responsibility for communicating outcomes to class teachers to enable future planning.

● Following school policies and procedures, e.g. the behaviour management approach.

● Working in partnership with teachers to deliver learning activities to whole classes during the teacher's PPA or subject leader release time, or to cover absence when necessary.

 Contract Hours and Salary details

Fixed Term contract starting 19th October 2026 (negotiable) ending 31st August 2027

Term Time only

Support Staff Grade D actual annual salary between £23,053 and £25,363

 Interview Date: Tuesday 29th September 2026
