Learning Support Assistant sought

Maternity Cover position (fixed-term contract)

5 mornings per week (part-time) in Key Stage 2

We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in Key Stage 2, starting in the summer term on 13th April 2026. The role will be classroom based for 5 mornings per week, supporting children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. This role is a fixed-term contract position, to cover maternity leave, term time only. Our school day starts at 8:30am and the position includes lunchtime supervision until 1.00pm.

The LSA will support Key Stage 2 class teachers with the delivery of the core curriculum (English and Maths) in the mornings. The LSA will also support children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to complete learning interventions, under the continued guidance of class teachers. This is a highly rewarding job. Our pupils are polite, friendly and eager to learn.

The full-time equivalent salary for this position is £25,128 (B3 on the Hampshire pay system).
