Learning Coach

Job Introduction

Would you like to join our friendly, supportive and caring support team

We have recently reviewed the support needed across the school and as a result would really like another adult to join our Learning Coach team in Key Stage 2, who can be flexible to support teaching and learning in the classroom and support children on a 1:1.

If you feel you can be an advocate for our children and can encourage all to be successful, you could be the person to join our team. We are looking for someone with:

  • Qualifications to at least A level - 4 GCSEs in English and Mathematics to help with their academic learning;
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in an area linked to children and learning to ensure you have a good working knowledge of child development;

We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School. We are looking for a committed Learning Coach to join our team who:

  • Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour both in and out of class;
  • Is reflective and committed to their own professional development;
  • Is able to work closely and effectively within a team;
  • Is committed to working in partnership with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community to promote Nightingale’s vision.

In return we can offer:

  • 385 friendly, diverse and keen to learn children;
  • An exciting ‘next step’ in your professional development; you do not have to be the finished article;
  • Excellent and regular training to keep you abreast with current thinking in SEND;
  • The backing of an excellent team committed to self-improvement;
  • The support of parents and experienced, committed governors;
  • A vibrant community location just off of the M27, close the Eastleigh town;
  • The chance to achieve something exceptional;
  • A commitment to your on-going professional development;
  • A lively learning community school which is friendly, welcoming and inclusive.
