Job Introduction
Sheet Primary School seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive team. At Sheet Primary School, our ethos is centred around children’s (and adults) happiness and well-being. We intend to provide an environment within which all the children and adults in our school will be safe and comfortable, feel secure, happy and motivated and fulfil their potential. Children will receive the best education possible, appropriate to their individual needs.
Grade B or C dependent on experience Immediate start
Interview dates: 5th and 6th May
About the role:
- Fixed term contract, to 31st August 2026, with the possibility of a permanent role moving forward. Part time hours or job share will be considered.
- Supporting children across the school, including those with additional needs
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Helping to deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with our inclusive approach
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils where required
- Promoting independence, confidence, and well-being in all learners
- Carrying out break and lunch duty
We are looking for someone who:
- Is caring, patient, and committed to supporting children’s learning and emotional wellbeing
- Demonstrates an understanding of inclusive education
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
- Is proactive, flexible, and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
- Has experience working with children with additional needs (school experience is desirable but not essential)
