We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, passionate and hard-working Teaching Assistant (LSA) to join our Y2 team in our school in the heart of beautiful Hampshire.
We are looking for someone who can help children with all aspects of their development and learning in a fun and inspiring way.

We are a warm and friendly primary school supported well by a team of committed Governors and enthusiastic PTFA. St. Matthew’s Church is only a short walk away which we visit regularly and have weekly collective worships lead by our lovely vicar in school. We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful woodlands which we use for Forest School sessions and outdoor learning.
We are looking for an LSA who:
- has good literacy and numeracy skills including at least GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- has experience of working with primary aged children, preferably in a school setting
- enjoys working with children and have a patient and caring nature
- is calm, positive and patient and can thrive in a lively, active learning environment
- has an excellent understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- is able to work effectively as part of a successful team, show initiative and be flexible at all times
- be enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative
- understand that all behaviour is a form of communication and be able to demonstrate excellent behaviour management strategies
- will model our Christian values of Friendship, Respect, Achievement and Faith
- is a team player, able to inspire and work in partnership with staff, parents and pupils
- has a professional approach to all aspects of school life
The role may involve working 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who need additional support to be able to communicate more effectively.
The working hours are 8.30am to 3:30pm (to include lunch duty) 5 days a week although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.
