Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and committed team.
The successful candidate will:
- Challenge children to achieve beyond what they think they are capable of
- Value every child and nurture their self-belief
- Work within and instil in the children our SAILS values and learning behaviours
- Work as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve well
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have a calm, kind and positive approach
- Be able to work independently and with initiative
- Be willing to engage in training and relevant continuing professional development
- Have good academic skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C (or equivalent 9-5), including Maths and English (or an equivalent qualification demonstrating competency in these areas)
- Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
- Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- Support children by facilitating positive play
- Most of all you must be passionate about wanting the best for children.
