We are a maintained special school in Hampshire, proudly supporting pupils with moderate and severe learning difficulties. We offer a nurturing environment where every child is valued. Our school includes a main site and a satellite provision, with spacious grounds.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant Level 3, you will play a vital role in delivering learning activities tailored to the needs of our pupils. Working under the professional direction of qualified teachers, you will have the opportunity to take whole class responsibility on occasions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering lessons and learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes
  • Assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assessing pupil progress
  • Creating and maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Supporting and training other staff in your areas of expertise
  • Supervising pupils on trips and out-of-school activities

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled professional who:

  • Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly
  • Has experience of working with children with SEND
  • Can work independently and confidently take whole class responsibility when required
  • Is committed to supporting children’s individual needs with patience and empathy
  • Is a true team player, able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Has a professional approach with discretion and respect for confidentiality
