Learning Support Assistant providing 1.1 support

Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Key Stage 2 child with additional needs from September 2026. This will be a fixed term contract until August 2027 with the possibility of extending.

The successful person will have experience of working in a primary school and who:

  • Is patient, caring and empathetic towards children with additional needs
  • Can adapt tasks and approaches to help children access appropriate learning
  • Will be able to work independently under the direction of the class teacher and the SENDCo
  • Listens to, and acts upon, the advice provided by outside agencies 
  • Is willing to engage in ongoing professional development 
  • Will supervise and support lunch duty
