Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our warm and friendly team. While the role involves supporting children across the curriculum within our mixed-age classes, we are specifically looking for a professional who can champion emotional and behavioural well-being. The ideal candidate will possess specialised experience or qualifications in ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) or TALA (Talking and Active Listening) to lead targeted interventions for children requiring extra emotional support.
We are looking for someone who:
● Previous experience working as an LSA or Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
● A recognised qualification or verifiable, practical experience in ELSA or TALA interventions.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build quick, trusted relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
● A patient, flexible, and resilient approach to supporting diverse learning and emotional needs.
● Good standards of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or equivalent).
● A warm, positive and caring personality
● The ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently, and to take initiative
● Has a sound understanding of safeguarding
