Job Introduction

We have an exciting and rare opportunity to appoint an experienced, patient, caring and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to support our Key Stage 1 class. The role will involve working with small groups and providing targeted support within the classroom. This role also covers nurture and lego therapy (training will be provided).
Hours: 8:30am to 12pm, Monday to Friday.
This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children, and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
The person will be an experienced LSA who:
- Has worked with children with a range of additional needs
- Can adapt tasks for children who are likely to find it challenging to engage in activities alongside their peers
- Be able to work independently under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
- Listens to, and acts upon, the advice provided by outside agencies
- Is willing to engage in ongoing professional development.
