Job Introduction
Library Assistant
C Grade to begin in September
I am delighted that you are considering applying for this exciting role of Library Assistant at Cupernham Junior School. This role is for afternoon hours, four days a week and so is therefore well suited to anyone already working in the mornings within a current role or capacity. This is a unique role and an exciting opportunity to join an already strong, dedicated and passionate team and an excellent time to join our school.
We are looking for an individual who relishes a challenge within an already successful school (confirmed as ‘Good’ in our Ofsted inspection, September 2023), where the whole child, their successful learning and development are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking to appoint someone who, at the heart, has a love and passion for reading, someone who can inspire and instil that love of reading further with our children. With love of reading being on our school improvement plan this year and a new library installed – please see details within the pack – this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a positive impact on reading with us.
Cupernham Junior School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to DBS checks along with other relevant employment checks.
