Midday Supervisory Assistant

  • Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-time (Term Time Only)

  • Salary Details: Grade A £24,521 per annum pro rata, actual £12.71 per hour. 
  • Hours of Work: 11:50 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. Monday - Friday term time only

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring lunchtime supervisor to join our friendly team. 

You will work as part of our happy and established team of lunchtime supervisors and to ensure that the children are safe and secure and lunchtimes are enjoyable part of the day.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and can support positive play
  • Is kind, caring, calm and able to listen sensitively to children
  • Will support the Christian ethos of the school and demonstrate conduct in keeping with this
  • Can communicate effectively with children and colleagues
  • Is reliable, flexible, punctual and able to work as part of a team
  • Is willing and able to attend some occasional extra training when required
  • Can maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Supervising children in the hall, classrooms and outdoor areas, encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating
  • Supervising, leading and supporting a range of stimulating indoor and outdoor play opportunities to ensure pupils have a positive lunch break
  • Promoting independence and positive behaviour
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils
  • Managing pupil behaviour at lunchtimes
  • Administering basic first aid
  • Assisting with associated duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring pupil hygiene)

 

Training and induction will be provided for the successful applicant.
