St Thomas’ Infant School is about to open a brand-new School Based Nursery Provision in April 2026. We have a vacancy for an inspiring and exceptionally talented Nursery Manager, who can empower and excite our new team of practitioners and support our children and families to thrive. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the ideal candidate.

Our pre-school will initially be open to 3–4-year-olds before extending to 2-year-olds later in 2026. Experience in this age range is essential. Please read this advert in conjunction with the Job Description, Person Specification and Role Profile.
The role benefits from 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays (based on full time), There are excellent CPD opportunities including training days and support given to gain further qualifications if desired. In addition, we offer employee support, which includes access to confidential counselling and health advice. As a Hampshire Nursery School, there is the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The nursery school is open from 7.30am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Hours of work will be on a shift basis to cover these opening hours. The nursery school closes for the period of the Christmas Holiday (two weeks).
This post is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year with a starting salary of £33,178 (FTE) at a Hampshire County Council E grade as a Nursery Manager.
