Salary details: £25,586.00 FTE

Hours and days of work: 18.75 hours per week. 8:45-12:00, 12:30-3.30 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday –

The Governors of Durley CE (Controlled) Primary School are seeking an experienced, skilled, committed and flexible Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our friendly team for three days per week. This is a unique and versatile role that will incorporate work as a TA and will also include a daily lunch duty. You will need to be able to work across both Key stages 1 and 2.  This role will initially be fixed term with a view to extending.

We are a small, supportive school community, and we are looking for someone who can contribute positively to both classroom-learning and the wider life of the school. 

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Effectively support teaching and learning across the school.
  • Lead small groups and deliver planned lessons, with another TA when required
  • Work collaboratively alongside teachers to effectively support our pupils
  • Work confidently across the primary phase
  • Contribute positively to our calm, purposeful learning environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a professional approach.
  • Be confident to communicate with parents and staff

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience as a teaching assistant across the primary phase
  • Be passionate about children achieving their very best
  • Have high expectations and a positive attitude
  • Have Maths and English to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Be organised, adaptable, and confident in leading learning
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families
  • Be committed to the school’s values and to the wellbeing of children
