An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to become our Nurture Group Leader and join our supportive and forward-thinking team at The Butts Primary School. This part-time role offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require extra emotional and educational support.
We are looking for a Nurture Group Leader who will:
- Be responsible for running two nurture groups alongside another member of staff where you will deliver a nurturing curriculum to a small group, focusing on building confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Provide tailored support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Have dedicated planning time and opportunities for your own creativity in designing activities to suit children needs and interests
- Be supported by the SENCO and another LSA to implement a curriculum to meet the needs of our learners
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all pupils feel valued.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and our school rules and values
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Can work collaboratively as part of a team but also use initiative when needed.
- Any experience with children is valued.

The post will be for 5 afternoons a week including support over lunch time. Grade D pay grade depending on experience.
