- Have excellent organisation and communication skills
- Be committed to the highest possible levels of achievement for every pupil
- Be cheerful, flexible and approachable
- Show initiative within the role and have good time management and multi-tasking skills
- Be a hard-working team player/leader, as well as being able to work independently, and be able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils
- Have the patience and the imagination to help and inspire our children with their learning
- Be able to establish effective relationships with young people, whilst maintaining a positive climate for learning in the classroom
- Be able to effectively manage classroom behaviour
- Be able to think on your feet in a role which involves a lot of ‘on the spot’ decisions
