Hook Infant School is a four-form entry school and we are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and committed individual to support some of our pupils on a 1:1 basis, with additional responsibility for lunchtime supervision.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children with additional needs
- Has a calm, nurturing approach, with the confidence to be appropriately assertive when required
- Can use their own initiative and respond flexibly to unforeseen situations
- Is able to implement a daily structured routine under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
- Can deliver planned interventions to support independence, sensory needs, language development and social skills
- Enjoys working with young children
- Is patient, responsible and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Lunchtime responsibilities include:
- Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground
- Encouraging positive behaviour and safe play
- Supporting pupils’ wellbeing during lunch breaks
- Ensuring school policies and procedures are followed at all times
