School Cleaner

Job Introduction

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our cleaning team.  

 

We would like to hear from anyone who takes great pride in their work and has high standards.  

 

You will be required to work as part of our friendly team to carry out a range of cleaning duties in line with our Health and Safety Regulations and Procedures ensuring our school is a clean, safe and tidy place for everyone.  

 

Experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.

 

The post is currently 12 and a half hours per week. Monday-Friday. 3.00pm until 5.30pm

 

The contract is for 52 weeks a year as you will be required to work in both term-time and during the school holidays when your hours will be ‘blocked’ together in order to perform a deep clean of the school site.  


 The ideal candidate will:

  • be friendly, flexible and reliable responding to ad-hoc requests for cleaning as necessary.
  • be caring, cheerful and conscientious.
  • work well in a team being able to follow instructions but also work on their own initiative. 
  • maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • have high standards and take pride in their work.
  • be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • be willing to undertake relevant training.
  • read and follow all school policies and procedures and carry out duties in line with them.
  • be observant and report any concerns to the Site Manager.
  • treat all school matters as confidential.
