Job Introduction
Park Primary School is looking for a dedicated and passionate teacher to join us in September for an exciting new job role. This is a part time position (0.7 FTE), to include 5 mornings and Wednesday afternoons. There may be the opportunity to add further hours up to 0.9 FTE, if this is of interest to the successful applicant. This position is for a 1-year fixed term contract until 31.08.2025 and is not suitable for ECTs.
The role will involve teaching targeted groups of children for core subjects, as well as some class cover. During the autumn term, the primary focus will be on Year 6 pupils. We plan to split our Year 6 class into two smaller groups, each led by a qualified teacher. This will allow each teacher to carefully personalise and adapt teaching and learning strategies and feedback in order to support accelerated progress.
The teaching groups may change over the year depending on the needs of the children in our school, but are most likely to be in KS2. A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and secure subject knowledge will be important, as will be the ability to be flexible and to communicate effectively with colleagues.
