Teacher of Computer Science and ICT – MPR/UPR
Full time – required for January/September 2025.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Computer Science and ICT to join a dedicated friendly and successful team of specialist Teachers. HTC has a reputation for providing outstanding support for staff and students and we are committed to providing the highest quality of learning for all students in every lesson. We have an OFSTED rating of good (most recent OFSTED inspection March 2019). Computer Science is taught as a core subject in KS3, and in KS4 continues as an option subject with further specialist courses available. These courses include GCSE Computer Science, OCR Cambridge National Information Technologies and Eduqas GCSE Business. The department is very forward thinking and continually looks for courses that are relevant to our students. We currently have over 400 students taking one of our KS4 courses as an option.
The successful candidate will have excellent up to date subject knowledge including Computing and general ICT skills. In addition, they must be prepared to teach a variety of different courses across the department including Business Studies. They will need to be able to work as part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team and play a proactive role in the further development of the department.
This post would suit an ECT or experienced Computer Science and ICT Teacher with a passion for this subject. We comprehensively support all new staff and have tailored programs for ECT’s, staff returning to the profession and those seeking a career change.
