Teaching Assistant - Harestock Primary School

Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a friendly, flexible and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work initially with KS2 to support a child with additional needs as well as to work alongside the teacher to provide class support. This includes a 30-minute lunch duty per day. The successful candidate will have:

  • a sense of humour and ability to be flexible
  • high expectations of children's progress and attainment
  • good behaviour management skills and the ability to motivate children
  • be well organised and resourceful
  • able to work as a member of a team
  • a calm and positive approach
  • an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • have good written communication and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C in English and maths or equivalent qualifications)

  • Salary Type: EHCC / Support Staff
  • Salary Details: Grade B/C determined by experience
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (8.45 – 3.15 with half hour lunch break)
