Job/Person Summary
We are looking for an additional Teaching Assistant to join our excellent existing team.
The post holder will be supported, and training provided to enable work within the classroom in the morning. You will work under the planning and guidance of the Class Teacher to support and enhance the children’s reading, writing and mathematics skills within lessons. In the afternoons, you will be given training to enable the delivery of additional support interventions or support in Early Years where learning is engaged with through play.
This role is from 8:30am to 3:30pm (adjustments for those with children will be considered), with breaks across the day. The role also involves a separate contract for Lunchtime Supervision within this time.
The successful candidate will:
- Have some professional experience working with children (can include experience whilst completing qualifications).
- Have a good standard of English and mathematics.
- Be able to work well with others and show own initiative.
- Be well organised, a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour.
- Have high expectations of children's progress and attainment, and understand the need to promote independence.
- Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
