Are you an experienced and ambitious teacher with a proven track record of raising standards? Merton Junior School is seeking a highly skilled and reflective Year 6 Class Teacher who is committed to ensuring every child achieves their very best.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who uses rigorous assessment and data analysis to inform teaching, identify gaps and accelerate pupil progress. The successful candidate will play a key role within our Year 6 team, working closely with colleagues to maintain high expectations and ensure pupils are fully prepared for the next stage of their education.

We Are Looking for a Teacher Who:

  • Has significant experience in Key Stage 2, ideally including Year 6
  • Has a strong track record of securing good or better pupil outcomes
  • Uses assessment and data analysis effectively to inform planning and accelerate progress
  • Delivers high-quality, engaging teaching that secures excellent learning outcomes
  • Works collaboratively within a team, contributing positively to planning and professional dialogue
  • Has high expectations for all pupils, including closing gaps for disadvantaged pupils and stretching higher attainers
  • Adapts teaching effectively to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Is reflective, organised and committed to continuous improvement
