Job Introduction
We are looking for a passionate and committed person to lead our Extended Day provision to deliver high quality childcare and children’s activities.
Our extended day services run before and after school meaning we are able to offer a flexible, rewarding term time only position.
There may be an opportunity in the future for the role to also lead school holiday provision.
The role includes:
- Planning and leading activities
- Order and prepare nutritional snacks for the children
- Ensure the welfare and safety of the children within our care
- Promote good behaviour
- To act as a first aider
- Liaise with class teachers
- Manage staffing, ratios and provide overall guidance and planning of activities
The successful candidate will:
- Be cheerful, flexible and approachable
- Be committed to supporting positive play
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks
- Have energy and enthusiasm and use their own initiative
- Be a team player
- Be patient and have good communication skills
- Have the ability to remain impartial and confidential at all times
Appropriate support and guidance in the role will be offered as part of the induction process and the school promotes regular training opportunities for all staff.
We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as all the necessary pre-employment checks are complete. References will be collected on selection for interview and you will have the opportunity to look around the school during that time. Attendance at regular meetings is an essential aspect of the role.
