Job Introduction
Castle Hill Infant School wishes to appoint a part time Early Years Support Assistant. The position is for 5 mornings per week on a fixed term contract to 31st August 2025. This Learning Support Assistant will be providing mainly one to one support of a child who is neurodivergent and some assisting the whole class LSA.
Salary scale B/C depending on experience
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and embrace new ideas
- Have excellent oral and written standard of English
- Energetic, adaptable and full of initiative
- Be able to use their initiative to support both child initiated and teacher led learning
- Be able to support with social skills, emotional support and show empathy and understanding
- Be able to form effective working relationships and be a team player
- Experience at working with neurodivergent children in a school setting in a group or individual
- Be flexible, patient and a good listener
- Willing to undertake training
- Encourage high standards and be a good role model
- Be empathetic to the importance of play in a child's learning and development
- Liaise with parents and outside agencies
