An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and forward thinking team at The Butts Primary School. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require extra emotional and educational support.
You will be required to:
- Provide tailored support to children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Assist in delivering a nurturing curriculum to a small group, focussing on building confidence, resilience and social skills.
- Work closely with the SENCo and another LSA to implement a curriculum to meet the needs of our learners.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where all pupils feel valued.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and our school rules and values.

- Demonstrates patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
- Can work collaboratively as part of a team but also use initiative when needed.

The hours of work are 12.30pm - 3.30pm Monday to Friday during term time.
This is a new post which is being offered on a fixed term basis, initially until the end of the academic year. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract or convert to a permanent role subject to a review of staffing requirements at that time.
